Arrow Valley Lake General Fishery Rules (APRIL 2012)

  1. Day permits must be purchased before fishing and anglers must have a valid day or season permit in their possession and available for inspection whilst fishing.
  2. Fishing is allowed in daylight hours only, night fishing is not allowed.
  3. All anglers must be in possession of a current environment agency licence and a functional landing net.
  4. Children under 12 yrs of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
  5. Anglers must ensure their pegs are left completely free of all litter, discarded line, tins, bags, bottles and cigarette ends etc.
  6. Angling on the lake is allowed only from the clearly designated fishing pegs.
  7. Baited hooks must never be left unattended. Either with terminal tackle actually in or out of the water.
  8. Only barbless hooks are allowed.
  9. Removal of fish from the lake is strictly forbidden. Any person in breach of this rule may face criminal prosecution.
  10. Carp are not to be retained in keep-nets except during properly sanctioned matches.
  11. In matches carp of more than 3lb in weight must be retained in a separate net to other species.
  12. Angling methods which utilise floating hookbaits are not permitted on the lake.
  13. Anglers are permitted to use a maximum of two rods only.
  14. Persons failing to observe these rules will be asked to leave the lake immediately and may become subject to a permanent ban from fishing on the lake.
  15. Note redditch sailing club have the right to exclusive use of the lake as follows: april – september, sundays between 9am – 1pm. Tuesdays & thursdays 6pm – 9pm. October – march all day sundays

The fishery management reserves the right to ammend these rules either temporarily or permanently at any time. And accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising directly or indirectly as a result of angling on the lake.
